Three Parts of the Superbowl

The Game

The Half Time mess

and The Commercial’s

Okay so here is my take on the Superbowl. Personally I didn’t have a whole lot invested this year. I mean I’m a PAT’s fan who are the first team to go to the previous years Superbowl and then not make the playoff’s while haveing an 11-5 record. I won’t go into the absurdity of that a the fact that a team that went 8-8 did make the playoffs. (Perhaps that my New England upbringing comeing out a bit eh?) Anyway as I was saying I didn’t have a whole lot invested in this years game. However, the fact that I like the Steelers, hardworking, blue collar, mentality as well as their stalwart defense had me leaning toward them as the team I would be backing. Mind you it was a difficult descision what with the Phoenix as the under dog, and an old man QB with a heart of gold.  Sidebar here: I think K. Warner earned himself a nod for the Hall of Fame. I was sitting there and they flashed his passing number about mid way through the 4th quarter and I said to that this performance would get him into the Hall of Fame. Not to mention the 3 SB apperances, 2 MVP’s, 1 SB win,  among other feats, and all done in a very short period of time.  While we are on the topic of K. Warner whats the deal with his wife I mean she went from looking like this.

  ??? Yeah I don’t know either.

“STAY ON TARGET!”. I wasn’t overly interested in the outcome of the game and I just hoped it would be a good one. Turns out it really was I mean a two possesion lead eliminated and a last minute (or two minute and fourty three second) come back to win is not bad for any game and great compared to other Super Bowls.  So all in all I was happy with the Game.

I can’t comment on the Half time show as it was spent rocking out on Guitar Hero. (Did I mention I was at the neighbors). Bon Jovi ROCKS!!!

Moving on to the Commercial’s. Apparently the economy is really tighting the purse strings in the Marketing departments. This year it was pretty much Movies and TV shows. At least they previewed the GI Joe teaser, and I can’t wait to see Megan Fox in Transformers 2, Jack Black’s new movie doesn’t look to bad either.  Seriously tho they where somewhat lacking.

There where some highlights tho. The Crystal ball to the nummies was good. The baby singing was good for a chuckle. The horses in love was decent although if the Clydesdale had mounted the mare in Big Top at the end I would have wet myself. Oh and of course the godaddy.com ad was nice eye candy. Who ever runs their marketing department is insane or really smart. I haven’t decided which yet. I mean their marketing strategy is hey we are going to get some chick with big melons to wear a tight shirt and parade around. While we are at it we will throw in Danica Patrick as well.

Anyway, the best commerical and the one that will haunt my dreams perhaps for the rest of my days was a fairly innocuous one from a somewhat local grocery store. I want to point out that I did not even see this until it was taken under offical review my neighbor saw it and made us go back and verify. However, if there is not a subliminal message in here then I have never seen one. Take a look.

Is that a Brat and Potato's

There was more which included something that oddly looked like a condom but I wasn’t able to get it as I didn’t have my camera or my phone on me. The above picture was taken by my neighbor.

Anyway thats all she wrote for today.
